The first student concert of Kala Kruthi was held in June 1999 at Wellington Secondary College.

2008-2009

Senior students of Kalakruthi participated in the recently held 'Sampradhaya Concert' in aid of Royal Childrens Hospital on 1 March 2009.The Inaugural Concert opening items by senior Vocal & Veena students was outstanding for its superb coordination and rendering.

Senior students also presented the finale- Tillana.

June 2008.

Sydney Music festival -Competitions.

Kalakruthi students swept the music scene in Sydney by winning prizes in almost every category in which they participated.They were judged by India's best musicians such as Smt Aruna Sairam, Smt Sudha Ragunathan, Sri T M Krishna, and Srimushnam Raja Rao.

Kala Kruthi students won several prizes in their respective categories in the music competition conducted in 2005 by the Tamil Society of Melbourne.

Kala Kruthi students Gayatri Ganesh, Jaya Puvenenthiran and Sakthi Ravitharan won the 1st, 3rd and 3rd prizes in their respective categories in the music competition conducted in 2005 by the Eelam Tamil Association. Gayatri Ganesh, Sakthi Ravitharan and Anesh Sethuraman won the 2nd, 1st and 2nd prizes in their respective categories in the music competition conducted in 2006 by the Tamil Society of Melbourne.

Kala Kruthi students also participated in Ganesha Utsavam, Melbourne Thyagaraja Aradhana, and the Clayton Festival cultural extravaganza.
